Crius Group is committed to making its digital services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We are constantly working on improvements to meet the accessibility requirements set forth in the WCAG 2.1 guidelines (level AA).
A recent accessibility audit conducted by Think Tomorrow identified a number of areas of concern. Below we explain what issues were found and what measures we are taking to improve accessibility.
The audit has provided us with insight into a number of accessibility issues on our website. We are aware of the following areas for improvement:
1. Accessibility of iframes
Problem: Iframes without accessible names (3 times).
Solution: All iframes are given a meaningful title or aria label.
2. Other accessibility issues
- Scrollable content is not made accessible via the keyboard.
- Access key values are not made unique.
- Skip links do not receive a correctly focusable target.
- Tabindex is not limited to a maximum of 0 for logical tab order.
- Aria-hidden elements are not excluded from focus.
- ARIA dialogs and alert dialogs do not receive an accessible name.
- SVG elements are not provided with accessible text or alternatives.
- Videos are not provided with subtitles.
Plan for improvements
We have drawn up a plan to resolve the above accessibility issues within six months. This plan includes:
- Technical adjustments by the development team.
- Have a new audit performed on our website
- Training our webmasters on accessibility.
