This Privacy Policy governs the processing of your personal data by the controller: Crius Group, Vaartstraat 66, 2235 Hulshout, BE 0479 662 525 (‘CRIUS GROUP’).

Read this Privacy Policy carefully because it contains essential information about how your personal data are processed and what cookies are used. By entering your personal data on the website www.crius-group.com or providing your personal data through the email addresses mentioned on the website, you declare that you are aware of this Privacy Policy, expressly agree with it, and with the processing itself.

Article 1 – General

1.1. By means of this Privacy Policy, CRIUS GROUP also complies with EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of personal data.

1.2. The controller of your personal data is CRIUS GROUP. A declaration has been made to the Belgian Commission for the Protection of Privacy on the processing of your personal data.

      Article 2 – Personal data

      Personal data that you communicate to us:

      • Connection information: all information we collect when you use our digital services, such as Crius Group’s website. This allows us to secure the applications and provide you with optimal support while browsing. This category includes the IP address, device information, and so on.
      • Identification information: information that we collect, for example, when you subscribe to our newsletter or request further information about our products and services from us. This category includes your first name, surname, job title, company name and email address;
      • Cookie information: keeping this information enables you to browse faster. It also helps you to navigate between the different parts of the website (more information on our cookie policy can be found in Article 9);

      CRIUS GROUP may collect your personal data in various ways:

      • through the use of cookies (see below);
      • during your identification and use of the website.

      Article 3 – Purposes of the processing

      3.1. General purposes:

      CRIUS GROUP will use your personal data for the following purposes only:

      • To improve CRIUS GROUP’s services and website: to maintain and improve this website and to include personal data in anonymous statistics, from which the identity of specific persons or companies cannot be ascertained, with CRIUS GROUP’s legitimate interests in constantly improving its website and services as the legal basis;
      • For sales and marketing campaigns: we use your personal data to organise sales and marketing campaigns to promote our services. We will obviously do this only if we have received your explicit and prior consent;
      • For an optimal browsing experience: with your explicit and prior consent (cookies), we use your personal data to give you an optimal browsing experience;
      • To provide services: delivery and invoicing of products and/or services you have ordered.

      You are not obliged to disclose your personal data, but should understand that providing certain services will become impossible if you refuse processing.

      3.2. Direct marketing:

      Personal data will also be used for direct marketing, provided you have given your additional and express consent (‘opt-in’).

      If CRIUS GROUP reorganises, transfers or discontinues all or some of its business activities or if CRIUS GROUP goes into liquidation, your data may be transferred to new entities or third parties through which all or some of CRIUS GROUP’s business activities are performed.

      CRIUS GROUP will reasonably try to inform you in advance about disclosing your data to such a third party, but you also acknowledge that this might not be technically or commercially feasible under all circumstances.

      CRIUS GROUP will not sell, rent, distribute or otherwise commercially provide your personal data to third parties, except as described above or unless you give prior consent.

      3.4. Statutory requirements:

      In rare cases, CRIUS GROUP might have to disclose your personal data under a court order or to comply with other mandatory laws or regulations. CRIUS GROUP will reasonably try to inform you of this in advance, unless this disclosure is subject to statutory restrictions.

      Article 4 – Duration of processing

      We will retain and process personal data for the period needed for the purposes of processing and for the contractual relationship between CRIUS GROUP and the client. The standard period for this purpose is five years. If there has been no cooperation for five years, we will remove your data from our databases.

      Article 5 – Your rights

      5.1. Right of access:

      You have the right to examine your personal data and how we use those data at any time and at no charge.

      5.2. Right of rectification, removal and restriction:

      You may freely decide whether to communicate your personal data to CRIUS GROUP. You also always have the right to request that we rectify, supplement or remove your personal data. You acknowledge that if you refuse to communicate your personal data or request their deletion, we will be unable to provide certain services and products.

      You may also request the restriction of processing of your personal data.

      5.3. Right to object:

      You also have the right to object to processing of your personal data for serious and legitimate reasons.

      You also always have the right to oppose the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes and you need not provide any reasons in such a case.

      5.4. Right to free data portability:

      You have the right to obtain your personal data that we process in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and/or to transmit these data to other controllers.

      5.5. Right to withdraw consent:

      If processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent.

      5.6. Exercising your rights:

      You can exercise your rights by contacting us either by email at info@crius-group.com or by post at CRIUS GROUP [Vaartstraat 66, 2235 Hulshout], enclosing a copy of your identity card.

      5.7. Automatic decisions and profiling:

      Processing your personal data does not include profiling and we will also not subject you to automated decisions.

      5.8. Right to lodge a complaint:

      This does not affect you obtaining relief from a civil court.

      If you suffer damage because of the processing of your personal data, you can institute a claim for compensation.

      Article 6 – Security and confidentiality

      We have developed appropriate technical and organisational security measures to avoid the destruction, loss, falsification, alteration, unauthorised access or accidental disclosure of personal data to third parties, as well as any other unauthorised processing of these data.

      CRIUS GROUP will never be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the incorrect or unlawful use of personal data by a third party.

      You must always comply with security regulations, including preventing any unauthorised access to your login details and code. You are thus solely responsible for any use from your computer website, of your IP address and your identification data, and for their confidentiality.

      Article 7 – Access by third parties

      To process your personal data, we grant our employees access to your personal data. We guarantee an equivalent level of protection by making contractual obligations similar to this Privacy Policy enforceable against these employees.

      Article 8 – Notifying the Data Protection Authority
