Typesetter Core
Are you looking to join the graphic industry, where you can take the lead and really make an impact? Do you enjoy working with InDesign to format books, while also getting energy from supporting customers, giving demos, and helping them get the most out of our software? Then you might be the colleague we're looking for to help write the next chapter of Core's success story.
What you can expect from this position
As a typesetter, you combine two important roles.
On the one hand, you are responsible for the professional typesetting of novels, thrillers, non-fiction books and eBooks. Most of these are produced using our online software solution, Core, our platform that makes publishing processes smarter and more efficient. You are in daily contact with your customers and work closely with editors to find the best design and layout for their books.
On the other hand, you play an important role in supporting our customers. When a new customer joins, you take on a key role in the onboarding process together with the Product Manager. You work closely together to ensure that new customers are introduced to Core in a professional way and quickly become familiar with our solution. You answer (technical) questions and make sure customers can get started with confidence. You remain a point of contact afterwards, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with them.
You’ll work on exciting titles for major publishing houses such as VBK Uitgeversgroep and Lannoo.

Your profile summarized in 6 key points
- With your basic knowledge of InDesign, your family might even call you the graphic all-rounder. Are you also familiar with HTML, eBooks and typography? Even better!
- In collaboration with the publisher, you turn their requirements into a finished, print-ready file. You work in a structured way across different brand styles, check books for errors and make the necessary adjustments.
- You’re as flexible as a mouse pad. You can quickly switch between multiple projects, manage them independently from start to finish, and short deadlines don’t scare you off.
- You guide new customers through their onboarding and make sure they can get started with Core smoothly. You adapt your explanations to each customer’s level of knowledge and specific needs.
- You have an excellent command of English, both written and spoken. You communicate fluently and professionally and feel comfortable guiding English-speaking customers and giving demos.
- You’ll work closely with the Product Manager and your colleagues, so you’re a true team player. At the same time, you’re comfortable taking responsibility and don’t wait around for someone to tell you what needs to be done.
We keep our promises. You get what you deserve!
- Salary is one thing, but we offer much more in terms of extra-legal benefits, including meal vouchers and the option to join our bike leasing programme. And to top it all off, you’ll get comprehensive hospitalisation insurance, including reimbursement for dental care and outpatient expenses such as medication, glasses, contact lenses and more.
- A flexible home/office working arrangement, so you can leave the traffic jams behind.
- A weekly dose of terrible jokes from our colleague Jens.
- Competitive table football matches with Jelmar.
- Cosy coffee breaks with Ester.
- And so much more...
