Crius Group is Baanbrekende Werkgever 2023

If there's one thing we've learned from the corona pandemic, it's that people can work from home just fine. Various practical emergency measures were implemented at a rapid pace. This tasted like more and asked for a structural interpretation. For our HR manager, Anja Van Genechten, the certification process of Pioneering Employer was the perfect opportunity to structurally get started with hybrid working.

Intensive learning path

The needs of our employees are paramount and therefore the foundation of our hybrid working model. During the Baanbrekende Werkgever process, the focus was on the further development of a people-oriented personnel policy, with attention to autonomy, flexibility and well-being. In short, the opportunity to strengthen the work-life balance.

Together with other employers, we completed an intensive learning process this year to grow and learn in this area. On Thursday 1 December, Anja Van Genechten and Jurgen Willems received the trophy and certificate of Pioneering Employer '23 during an inspiring event in the heart of Mechelen.

Crius Group can call itself a Pioneering Employer for a year and we are quite proud of that. It underlines our intention to continue to work on a sustainable policy in which the well-being of our employees and solidarity are central.

Corona brought many new challenges in terms of HR. A focus on hybrid working therefore became necessary. Through our participation in Pioneering Employer, we have been able to tackle this together with other companies. A process in which I learned a lot and of which we at Crius Group are extremely proud.

Initiatives that work

What does this mean concretely? At Crius Group there is an atmosphere of trust in which employees largely organize their working day themselves. We want our employees to be happy people who want to work for Crius Group instead of having to work. Their health, both physical and mental, is extremely important.

We previously provided sports lessons at the office and more recently everyone also gained access to OpenUp, an online platform that offers support in the field of mental well-being. Initiatives such as Bike-to-work, which are linked to a nice bicycle allowance, are also very successful with our employees.

These are all actions with which we as an employer want to be people-oriented towards our employees. As a Pioneering Employer, we will of course continue to propagate this.
