Silver for Ilse Hermans, although she is worth gold
Ilse Hermans was 19 years old when she joined Style, the predecessor of Crius Group, 25 years ago. She ended up in the then still small office, or rather a room. Under the wing of Jos Willems she learned the tricks of the trade and that turned out to be a hit. After 25 years she still does her job with full dedication so we can put her in the spotlight now. 😊
A leap of faith
It was actually purely coincidental how Ilse ended up at Crius Group at the time. As a youngster, not knowing what to do, she saw a vacancy close by and took the plunge. Together with founders Jos and Linda and colleague Zita, they helped publishers automate their tasks.
For Ilse, this started with digitizing and checking texts for the Belgian Official Gazette. “Over the years, I evolved along with the (fast) pace of the company and I delved further into SGML. I still use this application to this day on the books of, among others, Kluwer. The preparation of the layout of the Rechtskundig Weekblad is also one of my regular tasks.”
Within Crius Group, Ilse is known as a hard worker, but certainly also as the jump-in-the-field who is always up for a party. One to cherish, hopefully for the next 25 years!
You can surely call Ilse a real centipede. She not only works quickly, but always delivers quality work. Nothing is too much to ask for Ilse, she always gives that extra something and is extremely flexible in her working hours. In other words: a colleague you can really rely on.
