Wolters Kluwer chooses editorial coordination by Crius Group
Just before the summer holidays of 2021, Wolters Kluwer Belgium decided to collaborate structurally with Crius Group for coordinating editorial work. We were of course very happy that they came to Crius Group for this. The relationship with Wolters Kluwer is one that has lasted for almost three decades. This collaboration felt very familiar to both parties.
A lot of capacity in the short term
In the short term, we have succeeded in creating a lot of capacity available for this large-scale project. One of the editors we recruited for this is Zita Servaes. She started a new career at the end of August as an editorial coordinator at Crius Group. Zita mainly has experience in the IT sector. She still had to get to know her new role and the publishing profession, but she took on the challenge with great courage and enthusiasm.
“I have to admit that I was a bit nervous that first day, but I have been very well received at Crius Group. The first days were mainly a learning process in which I tried to clearly map out the publishing industry and the job", says Zita.
During her on-the-job training, she learned what author management means for this project of Wolters Kluwer and how she can best approach it. "I learned everything about how to monitor the production process of a publication as well as possible, but also how to edit texts in the right way and prepare them for production", Zita continues.
Good organization skills are an absolute must in this job, because with so many different types of publications you really have to be able to keep a good overview, so that everything is delivered on time. Zita has studied the extensive processes and procedures of Wolters Kluwer.
"I had a lot to handle in a short period of time, but with the support of the customer and Crius Group, the puzzle pieces finally fell into place. My job is very varied and also complex, but that makes it even more interesting and challenging. It feels really nice to be able to play a role in this large and long-term project.”Zita Servaes
